ICT MAIN ASSIGNMENT------------- ALL ABOUT M.E

Term 2 Week 1

The first week started off with Felix, Mudit and I combining to create our group. We took a while to decide what we were going to do. We were tossing up between a Harry Potter Dictionary, A Website for P.E or a Website for Music. We slowly but efficiently worked on our plan and decided we would be doing our project for the primary school music classes. It is called All About M.E (Music Education). We filled out our proposal and showed it to the teacher, she approved. The project is letting me understand that sometimes for group work, especially ICT group projects that you must all agree on an idea and assign jobs so that everyone has a thing to do and no one is left doing nothing. Doing this project with Felix and Mudit made it a little bit simpler because we all had an understanding of what we are each good at. Although i think our group is working well we may want to speed things up so we don't end up handing it in late like the magazine.

I was not here on Thursday 19th of April to write my blog post. i am writing this blog post on Monday 21st of April.

Term 2 Week 2

This week on Monday Felix, Mudit and I arrived ready to get started. I wasn't able to get permission to leave the school and go to the primary school yet so for this lesson Felix and Mudit were going to go over to the primary school to try and make an apointment with GWS PS's (Glen Waverly South Primary School) music teacher. I was to stay back and write my blog for last week (week 1) because I wasn't at class on the Thursday the 19th of April. After I finished my blog I started doing some research on the main musical instruments groups. Not long after starting that research Felix and Mudit walked back into the classroom. It turned out that the coordinators said that in order to go to the other school, Mrs Crow must ring the school to tell them that we are coming. Because Mrs Crow wasn't there on this day we decided to start the other work. Mudit assigned us all jobs and we got to work. I was to research and look for a game to transfer onto the website. Felix was to find out some information about different music generes. I had an idea of adding a music player to each of the genere paragraphs so that the veiwers could have a taste of what that specific music sounds like. I set to work looking up how to add music players to websites and seeing if it would be able to be done. All I am aware of that Mudit did, apart from assigning jobs was sending an email to the primary school asking for an apointment at their earliest convinience.

Hopefully we can get an apointment for next Monday so that we all can go.

Term 2 Week 3

Hooray!!!! This Monday our group finally got an apointment with the primary schools music teacher, Miss Martin. Felix was not here on this Monday so Mudit and I (Now that I had a note from my mum saying i could leave the school) would have to go alone. Priod 1 started out with Mudit and I organizing the questions we were going to ask the teacher at our interveiw. We were going to ask her about the things we would need on the website for the year six's. We asked her about the Theory, Musical Instruments, Artists and History and Genres. After the test we did in Period 2, Mudit and I were ready to go. After signing out at the office, we walked over to the Primary school and to the office. Next we signed in as guests and went down to the music room. During the interview we [CONFIDENTUAL ////////////CONFIDENTUAL ////////////CONFIDENTUAL ////////////
CONFIDENTUAL ////////////CONFIDENTUAL ////////////CONFIDENTUAL ////////////]. So over all it turned out good. The teacher agreed with almost all of the things that we asked and was looking forward to our next visit near the end of term. When we got back we started watching the videos about how to create a website.

On Thursday we started creating the website and also completed our weekly blog.

Term 2 Week 4

Dreamweaver was giving us some problems so we decided to scrap it. It was just to complicated and had to many instructions. We found a website on the internet that looked simple to use, also it was free to sign up. Here is the websites web address http://www.wix.com/. Wix easily let us start straight away on the website. Using the templates our task bar turned out like this....

Term 2 Week 5

This week has been a good progress towards our end product. First we all agreed what we would be doing. Felix finished his information about all the music genres and sent it to Mudit for him correct. Mudit has been working on the music theory really hard. I had to help him with a couple of his problems but he is still going strong. I on the other hand had two things to do. The games and the instruments sections. I started looking at the different musical instrument groups but then I started working on the games.

Term 2 Week 6 

MOJO WEEK

This week started of amazing. Although Felix wasn't here Mudit and I got straight to work. Mudit had almost finished the theory this lesson so we could put it on the website.

This week was the birth of Mojo. Mojo was a computer generated person who can talk. Placing him on our website would make our websit that much more fabulous. Mojo's eyes would follow the cursor.

Mojo said multiple things like

• A welcome speech
• Talking about the different sections of the website
• The hidden easter egg behind the Guitar

THIS IS MOJO

 Sadly Mojo died from repedetive talking syndrome on Thursday at just 4 days old.

WE ARE DONE

Our group worked well together throughout the experience. I think Felix and i are much better friends than we used to be. Though my friendship with Mudit has fallen because of a lot of silly arguments and him being a bit mean to me saying that i was useless. I think this has improved my organization skills and my skills of creating a webpage with multiple gadgets.
